We began designing this single-seater in 2015 as a workshop-built tribute to the shape and mechanical honesty of 1970s Formula One cars.

The chassis is laid out around the compact 2.5-litre V8 from a Daimler SP250 Dart. Its conservative factory tune and low compression ratio leave useful scope for development.

The long-term plan is a lightweight, hand-fabricated car with turbocharged power, simple mechanical systems and the raw presence of a period paddock special.
