This bass pairs a radically open, machined-aluminium body with the familiar feel of a three-piece maple neck.
The cut-away structure removes unnecessary mass and makes the fabrication part of the design: every web, radius and polished edge remains visible rather than being hidden beneath a conventional finish.
Active electronics and Gotoh hardware give the experimental body a dependable playing platform — less a styling exercise than a working instrument built with the logic of a lightweight fabricated chassis.
