Flamant in the Garden
Dassault MD 312 static display
We acquired a Dassault MD 312 Flamant to create a permanent static display outside the workshop — part sculpture, part preserved airframe.
The aircraft was first dismantled and stripped of unnecessary internal equipment for transport. Once at the workshop, hatches and access panels were removed so the aluminium structure could be cleaned, inspected and treated against corrosion.
Despite its age, the airframe proved remarkably sound. It was reassembled with shortened wings and stabilisers, retaining the scale and presence of the twin-engined aircraft while fitting its new site.
