Old body panels can make unusually strong furniture because their compound curves and pressed details already carry a visual history.

This desk is formed from Jaguar MK2 front wings and bonnet sections, cut and reassembled into a usable work surface while retaining the recognisable brow and centre line of the car.

Open edges were closed, the shell was repaired and refinished, and the complete structure was clear-coated. Careful trimming kept the final weight below 43 kg.
